School Riyadh, where he cultivated his early interests in debates and indoor
sports. His curiosity for technology and innovation was already apparent, and
it wasn’t long before he pursued higher education in Mechatronics, Robotics,
and Automation Engineering at the University of Wolverhampton. During his time
there, he was actively involved in the Debate Team and the Robotics Club,
excelling in both academic and extracurricular activities. He was also awarded
a scholarship, marking a significant milestone in his academic career.
Building a Prototype: A Humanoid Hand
While studying at the University of Wolverhampton, Eyas
embarked on his final-year project, which became the cornerstone of his
engineering journey. He developed a humanoid hand prototype that caught the
attention of both his peers and faculty. The prototype demonstrated his
creativity and engineering skills, as it combined robotics with practical
functionality, showcasing his commitment to solving real-world challenges

Entering the Media World
After completing his education, Eyas transitioned into the
world of media, taking up the role of Creative Director at RealTalk Media.
Here, he specialized in short-form video content, primarily for platforms like
TikTok and Instagram Reels. His expertise in creating engaging videos helped
brands such as Ceylon Agro and Hemas Consumer Brands elevate their online
presence. His role involved crafting digital strategies that not only garnered
views but built lasting relationships between brands and their audiences.
Venturing into Electric Mobility
Eyas’ entrepreneurial spirit led him to co-found RHODA, an
electric mobility startup in Sri Lanka. RHODA's mission is to provide
sustainable solutions for urban transportation through the development of
electric bicycles. These bicycles are designed to reduce carbon footprints,
making them ideal for Sri Lanka’s growing urban mobility needs. The launch of
RHODA’s first electric bicycle marked a new chapter in Eyas' career, aligning

Despite facing Sri Lanka’s challenging economic conditions,

Solar Consultants & Co, he specialized in solar power systems, working on
projects like the innovative floating solar system at the Samanalawewa Dam. His
expertise in solar energy not only helped reduce reliance on traditional energy
sources but also supported Sri Lanka’s transition toward more sustainable
energy solutions.
Leadership in Hospitality
In addition to his work in tech and sustainability, Eyas
demonstrated leadership in the hospitality sector. As Operations Manager at
Happy Go Island, he managed day-to-day operations at a boutique hotel and
restaurant in Weligama. During this time, Eyas co-created the Mirissa Food
Festival, a successful initiative that promoted local culinary talent. His role
also involved navigating the early challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic by
helping set up a virtual restaurant to adapt to new business realities.
Founding SolarDeals.lk
Eyas’ entrepreneurial journey continued with the co-founding
of SolarDeals.lk, a platform designed to connect homeowners with solar
providers and financial institutions specializing in solar loans. This startup
was born out of Eyas’ desire to make solar energy more accessible to everyday
Sri Lankans. He used his digital marketing skills to promote the platform and
worked alongside solar companies to increase solar adoption, despite challenges
in the country’s regulatory environment.
