Biography of Siddhant Tawarawala: Founder and CEO of Peeschute- Entrepreneur
Biography of Siddhant Tawarawala:
Siddhant
Tawarawala is the founder and CEO of Peeschute, a company that has innovated
disposable urine bags and waterless urinal solutions. He started Peeschute in
2018 to tackle the issue of clean restrooms in public places, particularly for
those with mobility challenges. The company’s primary products include
disposable urine bags that are odorless, leakproof, and biodegradable, designed
to make relieving oneself easier and more hygienic.
Innovative
Products for Everyone
Peeschute's
disposable urine bags contain a special gel that solidifies urine, making
disposal easy and mess-free. These bags are designed to be pocket-sized and
environmentally sustainable. Since its inception, Peeschute has gained
attention for its practical solutions, including a unisex urine bag that has
helped thousands avoid the discomfort and health risks of holding urine for too
long, which can lead to issues like urinary tract infections.
Personal
Experiences Fueling Innovation
Siddhant’s
inspiration for Peeschute stemmed from his personal experiences traveling
extensively since he was 15. He often faced the challenge of finding clean
restrooms during long bus journeys. To avoid discomfort, he would limit his
water intake, which was not a healthy practice. A particularly unpleasant
experience of having to use a bottle for relief pushed him to find a better
solution, leading to the creation of Peeschute.
The Birth
of an Idea
While
studying for his MBA at Nirma University, Siddhant explored various business
ideas, but none clicked until he attended a workshop that highlighted
sanitation issues. This prompted him to focus on creating a solution for the
lack of clean public toilets, igniting the concept for Peeschute. This moment
marked the beginning of his entrepreneurial journey, where he recognized his
potential to make a meaningful impact.
Support
from Incubators
Siddhant
reached out to VentureStudio, an incubator in Ahmedabad, which helped him
refine his idea. He participated in a program called Nidhi Prayas, aimed at
student entrepreneurs, and secured his first investment of ₹10 lakh. Over the
next 18 months, he worked closely with the incubator, learning and adapting his
product until it was ready for the market.
Learning
Through Challenges
During the
product development phase, Siddhant experimented with various materials to
create a leakproof urine bag. His early prototypes included everything from
ziplock bags to condoms, which helped him understand the technical challenges
involved. This hands-on experience was crucial in fine-tuning Peeschute's
offerings.

Successfully
Launching the Product
In 2020,
Peeschute launched its product and quickly gained traction. The company
completed its first angel investment round in June 2020, securing backing from
the Marwari Angels group. Later, Siddhant received significant support after
pitching on Shark Tank India, where investor Aman Gupta committed ₹75 lakh,
recognizing the potential of Peeschute in the hygiene market.
Overcoming
Stigma
Siddhant
found it challenging to discuss his product openly at first. Most people
dismissed his idea as a passing phase, leading him to limit conversations about
it. When he began seeking feedback from strangers, he faced skepticism about
the concept of using a urine bag. However, this feedback proved invaluable in
shaping the product and addressing concerns.
A Vision
Beyond a Single Product
Initially
focused on the urine bags, Siddhant realized that a broader approach was
necessary. He aimed to create a comprehensive solution for sanitation issues,
leading to the development of a new product: the Peeschute Baksa. This
plug-and-play unisex urinal solution is designed for easy use and includes
features like motion sensors and alerts for when the urine bag needs changing.
A Growing
Market
Today, Peeschute has sold nearly 250,000 units and served over 3,500 customers, expanding its reach beyond India to markets in the US, UK, Australia, New Zealand, and Canada. The company competes against other brands but distinguishes itself with its environmentally friendly, paper-based products.
A
Commitment to Better Sanitation
Siddhant is
determined to continue addressing sanitation challenges and improving public
health standards. His journey reflects a commitment to innovation and social
impact, driven by his personal experiences and the desire to create accessible
solutions for everyone.
Looking
Ahead
With
Peeschute's success, Siddhant is focused on further enhancing the product range
and expanding its availability. He believes in the importance of celebrating
achievements while learning from failures, embodying the spirit of
entrepreneurship that seeks to effect positive change in society.
