Dream11
In 2008, Harsh Jain,
along with co-founder Bhavit Sheth, launched Dream11, an Indian fantasy sports
platform. This venture combined Harsh’s passion for gaming, sports, and

quickly grew, becoming one of the leading fantasy sports platforms in India
with millions of users.
Legal
Challenges and Growth
Dream11 faced legal
challenges in 2017 when a petition was filed against it in the Rajasthan High
Court, claiming it was akin to betting. The court ruled in favor of Dream11,
stating that the game’s outcome depended on the player's skill rather than
chance. Despite this victory, fantasy sports faced regulatory hurdles in some
Indian states. Dream11's challenge to the Rajasthan High Court's decision was
ultimately dismissed by the Supreme Court, allowing the company to continue its
operations nationwide.
